Many fleet managers are focused on acquisition costs and other comparative data when evaluating trucks. While important, this type of analysis is neither sufficient to achieve optimum operation, nor is it designed to achieve the greatest savings. This session will detail a more comprehensive approach commensurate with the complexities of upfitted vehicles that fleet managers should consider adopting and will review everything a fleet manager needs to consider in order to find the right truck for the job, including vehicle specs, upfitted equipment, driver productivity, application considerations and safety factors. Attendees who join this session will learn all of the aspects of a complete, more effective fleet truck analysis; how to implement the review process; and, the potential savings and efficiencies that can result from this comprehensive approach. Panelist will include Ken Gillies of GE Fleet; Tim McHugh of ARI; Erik Nelson of Wheels; and Rob Kooken of PHH Arval.
Auto Truck will also be an exhibitor at the show, in Booth 328.
